Title: Senior Talend Engineer
Description
Modernize Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) from on-premise Microsoft platform to a Cloud-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Assist in this modernization effort through a phased approach of EDP Platform implementation and build as per the direction from MetaBank.
Responsibilities:
• Create template ETL jobs using Talend – i.e., be ahead of the curve on upcoming needs
• Lead and assist MetaBank IT Engineers to work with and create new Talend jobs
• Assist Enterprise and Data Architects with integration of various solutions. AWS, Talend, Snowflake, Thoughtspot
• Work within current development paradigm and change control process
• Open to take on tasks as assigned
EDP Platform Build Out Activities:
– Assist with Snowflake and Talend configuration and take necessary steps to ingest MetaBank data from various data sources as needed per business requirements into an AWS data lake.
– Assist with building and automating the ingestion data pipelines in Talend into the data lake from various sources
– Assist in migrating the first iteration of data pipelines to Talend into newly built data lake
– Assist with building business intelligence (BI) technical operating environment (OE) to support self-service analytics
– Assist with integration testing of the EDP AWS cloud platform

3) Data Integration experience in Data warehouse, re-engineering, system conversion, BI application expanding, tool upgrade and migration projects using ETL / Data Quality / Data Services and Data Parsing Solutions. – 7+ years
